Does Lowes Accept Afterpay? Why They Don’t
Sadly, Lowes doesn’t accept any third-party ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ services in-store or online as of 2023.
Once, my mom visited the home convenience store and tried paying with Afterpay but was unsuccessful.
It was then she found out that Lowes doesn’t accept Afterpay, QuadPay, Klarna, or any other ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ services.
Luckily, she had her credit card with her. As Lowes accepts the majority of credit card issuers, she made the payment with the card.
Why Doesn’t Lowes Accept ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ Services?
Lowes doesn’t accept third-party ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ services because the store has its own version of this service.
Well, that’s the only reason I could think of, as the store has not made an official statement about not accepting these services.
This can be frustrating for the middle-class group still waiting for their paycheck.
Imagine the trouble my mom would’ve gone through if she hadn’t had her credit card.
Does Lowes Offer ‘Buy Now Pay Later’?
Lowes has its own version of the ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ service known as ‘Lease to Own.’
With ‘Lease to Own,’ the customers can now pay in installments for the products they don’t have money to purchase.
After finding out what happened with my mom, I immediately decided to get Lowes’ ‘Lease to Own’ to save myself from future troubles.
Even though this program differs from ‘Buy Now Pay Later services, you get flexible payments and a 90-Day purchase option. Well, something is better than nothing!

Can You Make a Payment on Lowes App?
You can easily make payments from your saved payment methods on Lowes Mobile App.
However, if you don’t want to make the payment online, you can only place the order on the Lowes App.
You can make the payment when you go to the store to pick up your order.
Is it Hard to Get a Lowes Credit Card?
Lowes Advantage Credit Card is among the most difficult credit cards to get your hands on.
I applied for the card, too, but my application was rejected as my FICO store was below 620.
The FICO score is not the only criterion for the customers to get Lowes Advantage Card. You must have ‘fair’ credit too.
Once you get the card, the benefits are too good to be true. For example, you get a one-time $30 bonus on your first in-store card purchase and whatnot.
Even though you can apply for the Advantage Credit Card online, we’d suggest you apply in-store. That way, you can enjoy the one-time signup offer by Lowes.
What is the Highest Credit Limit on a Lowes Card?
Lowes credit card limit ranges from $300 to $5000 depending upon the applicant’s income, debt, and creditworthiness.
Even if you were issued the card with a FICO score of 650, you might not get a credit limit of more than $500.
However, if your FICO score is above 700, you can have a credit limit as high as $2000.
In conclusion, Lowes doesn’t accept ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ services from third parties, including Afterpay, Quadpay, or Klarna.
However, the store offers its own version of this program known as ‘Lease to Own.
Other than that, it accepts credit cards from most credit card issuers.
So, if you don’t have access to Lowes’ ‘Lease to Own’ program or the Advantage Card, we recommend you bring your credit card.
Otherwise, you will have to return empty-handed. No one would want that to happen, right?
